This yacht tiller was heavily water and sun affected with black marks and a peeling coating. We stripped the beautiful cedar and silver ash laminated wood back to bare, then applied 5 coats of high quality exterior marine-grade clear coat. The image shows the tiller after coat 3, 2 more coats filled the grain and added micron thickness.

Long lasting protection from sun and salt

The coatings gave the required protection in the harsh marine environment. There is no substitute for the thickest possible micron coating layer as UV degrades the protective film – a stronger coating shield translates to deeper, beautifying protection and longevity.
